Lisa's Journey
In 2019, Lisa Fosnough was a 43-year-old wife and mother of three. She had run five marathons, multiple half marathons and was competing in Crossfit competitions. On June 28th, 2019 she was diagnosed with an Osteosarcoma which is a cancerous tumor that was located in her right femur and surrounding muscle. She immediately went through four months of chemo.
On Dec 5th, 2019 she had a 12-hour surgery to remove nine inches of her femur and 65% of her quadricep muscle. She has now been cancer-free for over 2 years. Her Doctors attribute her successful surgery and recovery to her pre-operative overall physical fitness.
Lisa’s goal in forming this charity is to raise money and increase awareness of sarcoma cancer as well as the importance of overall physical and mental health and the power of positivity.
We believe everyone can embrace their challenges,
and define their future with community support.
