Founder & President Lisa Fosnough
In 2019, Lisa Fosnough was a 43-year-old wife and mother of three. She ran five marathons and multiple half marathons and competed in CrossFit competitions. On June 28th, 2019, she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, which is a cancerous tumor that was located in her right femur and surrounding muscle. She immediately went through four months of chemo.
On Dec 5th, 2019, she had a 12-hour surgery to remove nine inches of her femur and 65% of her quadricep muscle. She has now been cancer-free for over 5 years. Her Doctors attribute her successful surgery and recovery to her pre-operative overall physical fitness.
Lisa’s goal in forming this charity is to raise money and increase awareness of sarcoma cancer, the importance of physical & mental health, and the power of positivity.
Patient Testimony
“Today I received a Stronger Than Cancer Bag along with of the warm blankets. I have Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma. It’s super rare and big!! This whole process is so overwhelming and scary. God is with me. Julie the nurse said I am the first official recipient! I start chemo on Monday the 17th and I will be bringing my cool bag and water bottle etc. I have to say it blessed me so much to get it. Keep up the good work!!!” - Kelly S.
